Apple Of My Eye Photo Contest 2008

"Trees, Trees & Trees" will be the theme of the Apple Fest Photo Contest.

The parameters are photos, shot anytime, which show trees of any kind and in any settings. They can be single trees, groups of trees, fruit trees, hardwood trees, shade trees, and they can be shot in either color or black & white.

The contest is open to photographers of all ages. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each of the age groups – Adults: 19 and older, Teens: 12-18, Children: up to 11 years. There will also be a Best of Show award. There are cash prizes for each category.

There is an application fee to help defray the cost of the prizes. To encourage the young photographers there will be no fee for the children’s category. The entry fee for the teens will be $2.00 and the fee for the adults will be $5.00. This fee will be for one or two photos per person.

Download the application here or pick one up at the Hilton Community Center, Hilton Library, or by requesting one in writing at AF Photo Contest, PO Box 1, Hilton, NY, 14468.

All entries must be submitted to Apple Fest by September 5, 2008

Any persons interested in judging this year’s photo entries should contact Harriet Zunno, 392-6882. No special qualifications are necessary, just an appreciation for photography.
